The Grad Hatter

I haven’t been very active lately, but I finished the puppy for my friend’s baby!

I’ve been mad as hell about the Hobby Lobby ruling from SCOTUS and wondered what I could do other than bitch on social media about it. Thanks to friends at SCA, there’s a campaign now for angry crafters.

Tweet your brick at SCA @seculardotorg on Twitter. Find the Facebook event here

Knitting: For thin yarn, use size 8 needles. For thick, use size 11. Cast on 30 stitches for thin or 20 for thick. Knit 25 rows for thin or 18 for thick. Cast off and bind off, take a picture and mail. ;)

Crochet: Use an I hook, chain 25, then double crochet across for six rows. Your mileage may vary based on the weight of your yarn.

Campaign runs from July 2 - July 18!

THANK.

An old friend is having a baby! Does anyone know of some great baby knits I could make?

FINALLY it is 100% finished!! unfortunately it just became too hot for me to wear it anywhere :(

BUT I AM SO PROUD OF IT OH MY GOD :’) it’s the first thing i’ve knit that i would actually wear out of the house and i’m so happy that it’s finished and i didn’t mess it up entirely somewhere along the way! it’s just great and i love it. i like the buttons especially they’re super pretty <3

Avery by Melissa LaBarre.I started knitting this yesterday afternoon. University has started back again, so I’m not sure how much time I’ll have to work on it. Nevertheless, the pattern has been a lot of fun. It’s exciting to see the beginnings of diamonds and triangles appear as each row is completed.

…I went to college with the her.
